All the activities carried out in the mine generate some type of solid waste, whether is domestic, industrial or dangerous. During 2020, an average of 40.95 kilograms monthly per person were generated, for the year 2021 the reduction was 52% with an average generation of 19.54 kilograms monthly per person.
Within the measures established for comprehensive waste management, the progressive change in consumption patterns, the use of organic waste to generate compost and the strengthening of value chains through the delivery of recyclable waste to different associations, stand out over all strategies.
